January 20, 2023: Crookston, MN 56716 Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines (Wadena, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Crookston Pirates (Crookston, MN), 76-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Wadena-Deer Creek upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Wolverines travel to East Grand Forks (East Grand Forks, MN) to clash with the Green Wave in a AA Section 8 bout on Saturday, January 21. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 7-4. East Grand Forks won 71-58 in their recent non-league bout against Fosston (Fosston, MN)
Next up, the Pirates clash with the Barnesville Trojans (Barnesville, MN) in a AA Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Crookston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 61-60 league loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN).
