January 20, 2023: Ruidoso, NM 88345 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) and the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), saw Hot Springs's basketball squad hold off Ruidoso by a tally of 66-59.
With the victory, Hot Springs improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM) to play the Desert Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Desert Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Santa Teresa lost 64-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Artesia (Artesia, NM)
Next up, the Warriors play the Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Ruidoso will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 38-34 non-league loss to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM).
