Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Nazareth Area tops Pocono Mountain East
January 20, 2023: Nazareth, PA 18064 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles (Nazareth, PA) and the visiting Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA), saw Nazareth Area's basketball squad knock off Pocono Mountain East by a count of 67-54.
With the victory, Nazareth Area upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Blue Eagles host Liberty (Bethlehem, PA) to play the Hurricanes in a Lehigh Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Liberty won 77-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Quakertown (Quakertown, PA)
Next up, the Cardinals play the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers (East Stroudsburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Pocono Mountain East will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 78-60 non-league win over Notre Dame (East Stroudsburg, PA).
