Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton routs Riverheads
January 20, 2023: Staunton, VA 24401 In Friday's league outing, the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), by a margin of 73-44.
The Storm (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Green Hornets go into the Shenandoah outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, Wilson Memorial smashed Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA), 64-51, in a league outing.
The Gladiators now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 21. Riverheads will encounter a Minutemen squad coming off a 63-28 league loss to Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-11.
