January 20, 2023: Clay, WV 25043 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) and the visiting Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), saw Clay County's basketball squad overcome Calhoun by a tally of 47-30.
With the victory, Clay County improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to confront the Eagles in a Little Kanawha - East challenge on Friday, January 27. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-11.
Next up, the Red Devils confront the Williamstown Yellowjackets (Williamstown, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 48-25 league win over Tyler (Sistersville, WV).
