Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Wyoming Valley West thwarts Crestwood
January 20, 2023: Plymouth, PA 18651 The Wyoming Valley West Spartans (Plymouth, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA), 51-35 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Dallas (Dallas, PA). The Mountaineers go into the Wyoming Valley 1 test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Dallas notched a victory over Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA), 60-54, in a league test.
The Comets now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Pittston for a Wyoming Valley 1 test on Monday, January 23. Crestwood will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 32-27 league win over Berwick (Berwick, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 9-1.
