January 20, 2023: Paradise Valley, AZ 85253 Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Phoenix Country Day Eagles (Paradise Valley, AZ), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lancers confront the Flowing Wells Caballeros (Tucson, AZ) in a 4A Kino challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Salpointe Catholic will attempt to better on its 13-2 season record. The Caballeros enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rio Rico (Rio Rico, AZ).
The Eagles now have a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Highland Prep for a 3A Central challenge on Saturday, January 21. Phoenix Country Day will confront a Honey Badgers team coming off a 8-2 league loss to BASIS Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ). The Honey Badgers record now stands at 2-5.
