Virginia High School Basketball - Banner Christian can't hold off Petersburg
January 20, 2024: Petersburg, VA 23805 The Banner Christian basketball team (Chesterfield, VA), was nudged 64-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA)
The Crimson Wave now possess a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meadowbrook for a Central battle on Tuesday, January 23. Petersburg will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 78-72 league loss to Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 4-9.
The (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against The New Community School (Richmond, VA). The Sabers come into the VISAA Division III battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, The New Community School was nudged by Grove Christian School (Richmond, VA), 72-31, in a non-league battle.
