Minnesota High School Basketball - Cherry tops Solon Springs
January 20, 2024: Iron, MN 55751 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN) and the visiting Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI), saw Cherry's basketball squad knock off Solon Springs by a count of 90-71.
With the victory, Cherry upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to North Woods (Cook, MN) to play the grizzlies in a A Section 7 challenge on Monday, January 22. The grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. North Woods won 104-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN)
Next up, the Eagles play the Bayfield Trollers (Bayfield, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Solon Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Trollers come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 50-46 league loss to Drummond (Drummond, WI).
