Iowa High School Basketball - Decorah-North Winneshiek nips North Polk
January 20, 2024: Decorah, IA 52101 Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), 62-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Decorah-North Winneshiek upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Charles City (Charles City, IA) to play the Comets in a Northeast Iowa bout on Monday, January 22. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Charles City lost 86-73 in their recent league bout against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA)
Next up, the Comets play the A-D-M Tigers (Adel, IA) in a Raccoon River bout, on Tuesday, January 23. North Polk will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 74-63 league win over Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA).
