January 20, 2024: Fairfield, CT 06824 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the New London Whalers (New London, CT) and the host Fairfield Prep Jesuits (Fairfield, CT), saw New London's basketball squad overcome Fairfield Prep by a tally of 58-43.
With the victory, New London improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Whalers host East Lyme (East Lyme, CT) to play the Vikings in a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. East Lyme won 50-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT)
Next up, the Jesuits play the Xavier Falcons (Middletown, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Fairfield Prep will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 62-47 non-league win over Bristol Central (Bristol, CT).
