Maine High School Basketball - Yarmouth nips Fryeburg
January 20, 2024: Fryeburg, ME 04037 Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME), 54-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Yarmouth upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Clippers travel to Poland (Poland, ME) to play the Knights in a B South bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Poland won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME)
Next up, the Raiders play the Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME) in a A South bout, on Thursday, January 25. Fryeburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 42-37 league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, ME).
