Michigan High School Basketball - Renaissance holds off Kalamazoo Central
January 20, 2024: Kalamazoo, MI 49006 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI) and the host Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI), saw Renaissance's basketball squad hold off Kalamazoo Central by a tally of 73-69.
With the victory, Renaissance improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Southeastern (Detroit, MI) to confront the Jungaleers in a Detroit Public I challenge on Friday, January 26. The Jungaleers come into the challenge with a record of 11-2.
Next up, the Maroon Giants confront the Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Kalamazoo Central will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record.
