Virginia High School Basketball - Lancaster succumbs to Peninsula Catholic
January 20, 2024: Newport News, VA 23601 The Peninsula Catholic Knights topped the visiting Lancaster Red Devils basketball team by a final score of 60-47 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Knights face the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) in a Tidewater Independent game, on Tuesday, January 23. Peninsula Catholic will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record. The Saints enter the game with a 7-9 record after their 58-51 league win over Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA).
With the defeat, Lancaster moves to 10-2 on the year. The Red devils host Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA) to face the Drifters in a Northern Neck game on Tuesday, January 23. The Drifters come into the contest with a record of 4-6. Colonial Beach lost 67-46 in their recent league contest against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA)
