Washington High School Basketball - Sedro-Woolley holds off Meridian
January 20, 2024: Bellingham, WA 98226 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) and the host Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), saw Sedro-Woolley's basketball squad hold off Meridian by a tally of 63-62.
With the victory, Sedro-Woolley improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Cubs host Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to confront the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Mt. Baker lost 66-44 in their recent league challenge against Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Bayhawks come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 72-67 league win over Squalicum (Bellingham, WA).
