January 20, 2024: Scottville, MI 49454 The Gaylord Blue Devils (Gaylord, MI) basketball nipped the host Mason County Central Spartans (Scottville, MI), 46-43 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI). The Titans go into the Big North test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Traverse City West was tipped by Petoskey (Petoskey, MI), 36-34, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Muskegon for a Western Michigan - Other test on Tuesday, January 23. Mason County Central will encounter a Norsemen squad coming off a 30-27 non-league win over Oakridge (Muskegon, MI). The Norsemen record now stands at 7-3.
