Oklahoma High School Basketball - Guthrie can't hold off Woodward
January 20, 2024: Woodward, OK 73801 The Woodward Boomers basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Guthrie Bluejays to 73 in the Boomers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Boomers now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alva for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Woodward will battle a Goldbugs team coming off a 56-37 non-league win over Pawhuska (Pawhuska, OK). The Goldbugs record now stands at 13-2.
The Bluejays (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Shawnee (Shawnee, OK). The Wolves come into the 5A District 1 contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Shawnee edged Coweta (Coweta, OK), 45-33, in a non-league contest.
