January 20, 2024: Locust Grove, OK 74352 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Locust Grove Pirates (Locust Grove, OK) and the visiting Vinita Hornets (Vinita, OK), saw Locust Grove's basketball squad wallop Vinita by a tally of 49-22.
With the victory, Locust Grove improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Catoosa (Catoosa, OK) to confront the Indians in a Verdigris Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Catoosa lost 53-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Central (Tulsa, OK)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Kansas Comets (Kansas, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Vinita will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 43-32 non-league win over Jay (Jay, OK).
