New Mexico High School Basketball - Springer holds off Lordsburg
January 20, 2024: Lordsburg, NM 88045 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) and the host Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM), saw Springer's basketball squad hold off Lordsburg by a tally of 64-61.
With the victory, Springer improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Cimarron (Cimarron, NM) to confront the Rams in a A District 5 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Cimarron won 44-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Elida (Elida, NM)
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Lordsburg will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 51-38 non-league win over Reserve (Reserve, NM).
