Texas High School Soccer - La Porte nudges Bridge City
January 20, 2024: La Porte, TX 77571 La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Bridge City Cardinals (Bridge City, TX), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs confront the Santa Fe Indians (Santa Fe, TX) in a 5A Region 3 District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. La Porte will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-3 non-league Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX).
The Cardinals now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Hardin-Jefferson for a 4A Region 3 District 17 challenge on Friday, January 26.
