Alabama High School Basketball - Alcovy nips Handley
January 20, 2025: Roanoke, AL 36274 In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Alcovy Tigers basketball team scored a close 52-50 triumph over the Handley Tigers.
The Tigers (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Bulldoggs go into the AAAAA Region 8 contest with a 18-2 record. In their last contest, Winder-Barrow nipped Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA), 67-59, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Munford Lions (Munford, AL) in a 4A Area 8 contest, on Friday, January 24. Handley will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Lions go into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 62-58 non-league loss to Talladega (Talladega, AL).
