Ohio High School Basketball - Lakota West triumphant over Fairmont
January 20, 2025: Kettering, OH 45429 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH) and the host Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH), observed Lakota West's basketball team overwhelm Fairmont by a score of 70-47.
The Firebirds (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH). The Thunderhawks come into the Greater Miami challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Lakota East was routed by Aiken (Cincinnati, OH), 62-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Firebirds encounter the Springboro Panthers (Springboro, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio challenge, on Friday, January 24. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 51-43 non-league loss to Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH).
