January 20, 2025: Decatur, IL 62522 The MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL) basketball edged the visiting Hyde Park Thunderbirds (Chicago, IL), 61-60 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Generals now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Urbana for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. MacArthur will play a Tigers team coming off a 66-57 league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Hyde Park falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Lindblom (Chicago, IL) to play the Eagles in a Chicago Public - Red South game on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 8-11. Lindblom won 63-60 in their recent non-league game against Manley (Chicago, IL)
