Illinois High School Basketball - Lanphier nips Waukegan
January 20, 2025: Springfield, IL 62702 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Lanphier Lions basketball team scored a close 65-61 triumph over the Waukegan Bulldogs.
The Lions (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL). The Spartans go into the Central State Eight contest with a 2-17 record.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) in a North Suburban contest, on Friday, January 24. Waukegan will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 10-9 record after their 54-40 non-league win over Palatine (Palatine, IL).
