Illinois High School Basketball - Springfield Southeast can't hold off Unity Christian
January 20, 2025: Decatur, IL 62526 Unity Christian Lions (Decatur, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL), 47-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Unity Christian upgrades its record to 8-12 on the year. The Lions travel to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to face the Bombers in a Lincoln Prairie match on Tuesday, January 21. The Bombers enter the match with a record of 7-9. Argenta-Oreana won 60-51 in their recent league match against Heritage (Broadlands, IL)
The Spartans now sport a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springfield for a Central State Eight match on Thursday, January 23.
