West Virginia High School Basketball - Wheeling Central Catholic overwhelms Weir
January 20, 2025: Wheeling, WV 26003 The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Weir Red Riders to 25 in the Maroon Knights non-league triumph on Monday.
The Maroon Knights now have a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Linsly for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. Wheeling Central Catholic will confront a Cadets team coming off a 53-50 non-league loss to Westerville Central (Westerville, OH). The Cadets record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Weir falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Red riders travel to Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH) to confront the Redskins in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Redskins go into the game with a record of 4-10. Indian Creek won 47-41 in their recent non-league game against Toronto (Toronto, OH)
