In Monday's non-league contest, the host Canton Little Giants basketball team scored a good 49-39 triumph over the Richwoods Knights.

The Little Giants (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Raiders go into the Mid-Illini contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, East Peoria topped Normal West (Normal, IL), 65-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve contest, on Friday, January 24. Richwoods will attempt to better on its 11-10 season record. The Chargers go into the contest with a 3-13 record after their 50-19 league loss to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL).
