Iowa High School Basketball - Denver defeats Vinton-Shellsburg
January 20, 2025: Denver, IA 50622 The Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA) basketball were winner over the visiting Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA), 49-40 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cyclones now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they travel to East Marshall for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. Denver will play a Mustangs team coming off a 69-12 league loss to South Hardin (Eldora, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-12.
With the loss, Vinton-Shellsburg falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Vikings host Grinnell (Grinnell, IA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Grinnell won 39-30 in their recent non-league bout against South Tama County (Tama, IA)
