Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Gwynedd Mercy Academy thwarts North Penn
January 20, 2025: Lansdale, PA 19446 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs (Gwynedd Valley, PA) and the host North Penn Knights (Lansdale, PA), observed Gwynedd Mercy Academy's basketball team knock off North Penn by a score of 57-37.
The Monarchs (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sacred Heart Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA). The Lions come into the Catholic Academies challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Sacred Heart Academy prevailed over Faith Christian Academy (Sellersville, PA), 54-28, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights encounter the Central Bucks West Bucks (Doylestown, PA) in a Suburban One - Continental challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. North Penn will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Bucks come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 52-38 non-league loss to Wissahickon (Ambler, PA).
