The Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC) basketball edged the visiting Heritage Huskies (Wake Forest, NC), 52-49 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Catamounts now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Middle Creek for a 4A Southeast Wake bout on Tuesday, January 21. Panther Creek will play a Mustangs team coming off a 41-38 league loss to Green Level (Cary, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Heritage falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC) to play the Cougars in a 4A Northern bout on Wednesday, January 22.
