January 20, 2025: Kelso, WA 98626 Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Hockinson Hawks (Brush Prairie, WA), 73-27 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Kelso advances its record to 6-8 on the year. The Hilanders host Heritage (Vancouver, WA) to face the Timberwolves in a 3A Greater St. Helens match on Wednesday, January 22. The Timberwolves enter the match with a record of 4-8. Heritage lost 52-49 in their recent non-league match against Elma (Elma, WA)
The Hawks now own a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hudson's Bay for a 2A Greater St. Helens match on Tuesday, January 21. Hockinson will face a Eagles squad coming off a 62-13 league loss to Mark Morris (Longview, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-13.
