California High School Basketball - Pleasant Valley holds off La Jolla Country Day

The Pleasant Valley Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host La Jolla Country Day Torreys to 42 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Monday.

The Vikings now possess a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to Red Bluff for a Eastern game on Tuesday, January 21. Pleasant Valley will confront a Spartans team coming off a 67-54 league loss to Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, La Jolla Country Day falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Torreys host St. Joseph Academy (San Marcos, CA) to confront the Crusaders in a Freelance game on Wednesday, January 22. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 12-7. St. Joseph Academy lost 57-48 in their recent non-league game against St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA)
