Iowa High School Basketball - Ames holds off Norwalk
January 20, 2026: Ames, IA 50010 The Ames Little Cyclones basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Norwalk Warriors to 61 in the Little Cyclones non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Little Cyclones now have a 12-2 record. They play next when they host Waterloo East for a non-league game on Friday, January 23. Ames will face a Trojans squad coming off a 73-50 non-league win over Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-6.
The Warriors (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Pella (Pella, IA). The Dutch enter the Little Hawkeye outing with a 11-2 record. In their last outing, Pella got by Des Moines Christian (Des Moines, IA), 80-67, in a non-league outing.
