In Friday's non-league outing, the Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) basketball squad edged the host Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles (Wichita, KS), by a count of 50-44.

The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles go into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Maize was tipped by Dodge City (Dodge City, KS), 59-52, in a non-league outing.
