Washington, DC High School Basketball - St. Anselm's Abbey knocked off by Georgetown Day
January 21, 2023: Washington, DC 20007 The Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers to 42 in the Mighty Hoppers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mighty Hoppers now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potomac School for a VISAA Division I contest on Tuesday, January 24. Georgetown Day will battle a Panthers team coming off a 73-68 league win over Flint Hill (Oakton, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-7.
The Panthers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Washington International (Washington, DC). The Red Devils enter the Potomac Valley contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Washington International Burke (Washington, DC), 0-0, in a league contest.
