Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln Park holds off St. Laurence
January 21, 2023: Burbank, IL 60459 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln Park Lions (Chicago, IL) and the host St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL), saw Lincoln Park's basketball squad hold off St. Laurence by a tally of 50-45.
With the victory, Lincoln Park improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Whitney Young (Chicago, IL) to confront the Dolphins in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest challenge on Monday, January 23. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a record of 18-6. Whitney Young lost 61-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Joliet West (Joliet, IL)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - White challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. St. Laurence will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 64-59 non-league win over Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL).
