In Saturday's non-league outing, the Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV) basketball squad beat the host Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), by a count of 74-57.

The Cadets (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH). The Potters go into the non-league outing with a 12-2 record. In their last outing, East Liverpool defeated Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH), 60-42, in a league outing.

The Big Reds now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Capital for a Mountain State outing on Tuesday, January 24. Parkersburg will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 72-66 league loss to Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 2-8.
