Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pepperell Dragons (Lindale, GA), 70-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Model upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Blue Devils host Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA) to clash with the Rebels in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-17. Fannin County lost 71-38 in their recent non-league bout against Elbert County (Elberton, GA)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Unity Christian Lions (Rome, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Pepperell will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 62-48 league loss to Praise Academy (Powder Springs, GA).
