In Saturday's league match, the host SPIRE Institute SPIRE basketball team scored a decisive 72-51 triumph over the National Christian Academy Eagles.

In their next game, the SPIRE meet the Bella Vista College Preparatory School Bears (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league match, on Sunday, January 22. SPIRE Institute will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Bears enter the match with a 13-5 record after their 66-62 non-league loss to St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD).
