January 21, 2023: Union City, NJ 07087 The Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ), 63-61 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Soaring Eagles (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (Jersey City, NJ). The Lions go into the Hudson County - American test with a 4-13 record.
The Panthers now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Shabazz for a non-league test on Monday, January 23. Newark Collegiate Academy will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-54 league loss to Barringer (Newark, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-8.
