Minnesota High School Basketball - St. Mary's can't hold off Westbrook-Walnut Grove

The Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers basketball team scored 64 points and held the host St. Mary's Knights to 62 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Chargers now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hills-Beaver Creek for a A Section 3 contest on Thursday, January 26. Westbrook-Walnut Grove will battle a Patriots team coming off a 55-50 non-league win over Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 4-9.

The Knights (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Wabasso (Wabasso, MN). The Rabbits enter the A Section 3 contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Wabasso was nudged by Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN), 67-65, in a non-league contest.
