Washington, DC High School Basketball - Archbishop Spalding thwarts Friendship Collegiate Academy
January 21, 2023: Washington, DC 20019 The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) basketball knocked off the host Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC), 49-40 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD). The Eagles go into the IAAM A test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, McDonogh notched a victory over Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD), 67-34, in a non-league test.
The Knights now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Thurgood Marshall Academy for a PCSAA test on Tuesday, January 24. Friendship Collegiate Academy will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to KIPP College Prep (Washington, DC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.
