January 21, 2023: Carbondale, IL 62901 In Saturday's non-league match, the host Carbondale Terriers basketball team scored a decisive 61-38 triumph over the Cairo Pilots.
In their next game, the Terriers meet the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) in a South Seven match, on Tuesday, January 24. Carbondale will attempt to better on its 8-16 season record. The Crusaders enter the match with a 15-6 record after their 65-38 non-league win over Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL).
With the defeat, Cairo moves to 4-8 on the year. The Pilots travel to Cobden (Cobden, IL) to meet the Appleknockers in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 25. The Appleknockers enter the match with a record of 7-13. Cobden won 33-21 in their recent league match against Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL)
