Maryland High School Basketball - Eastern Tech nips Friends
January 21, 2023: Baltimore, MD 21221 Eastern Tech Mavericks (Baltimore, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Friends Quakers (Baltimore, MD), 43-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Eastern Tech upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Mavericks host Harford Tech (Bel Air, MD) to play the Cobras in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Cobras go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Harford Tech lost 57-33 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary's (Annapolis, MD)
Next up, the Quakers play the Mount de Sales Academy Sailors (Catonsville, MD) in a IAAM B bout, on Monday, January 23. Friends will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Sailors go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 41-33 non-league loss to North Point (Waldorf, MD).
