North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwood trounces New Hanover

The Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) basketball crushed the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 69-35 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Chargers (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Cedar Ridge (Hillsborough, NC). The Fighting Red Wolves go into the 3A Conference 25 test with a 3-12 record. In their last test, Cedar Ridge walloped Person (Roxboro, NC), 44-29, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Ashley for a 3A/4A Conference 20 test on Tuesday, January 24. New Hanover will encounter a Screaming Eagle squad coming off a 49-24 league win over Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 10-4.
