Michigan High School Basketball - Avondale routs Notre Dame Prep

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Avondale Yellowjackets basketball team scored a big 62-21 triumph over the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish.

The Yellowjackets (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Athens (Troy, MI). The Red Hawks go into the Oakland - Blue contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Athens was trounced by Adams (Rochester, MI), 50-44, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish confront the Swartz Creek Dragons (Swartz Creek, MI) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Notre Dame Prep will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 67-39 league win over Brandon (Ortonville, MI).
