The Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO) basketball edged the host West Grand Mustangs (Kremmling, CO), 42-35 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Heritage Christian for a 3A/2A/1A Mile High bout on Thursday, January 23. Gilpin County will play a Eagles team coming off a 52-32 league win over Flatirons Academy (Westminster, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, West Grand falls to 12-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host North Park (Walden, CO) to play the Wildcats in a 2A/1A Western Slope bout on Friday, January 24.
