Louisiana High School Basketball - Southwood overwhelms Lincoln Prep
January 21, 2025: Grambling, LA 71245 The Southwood Cowboys basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Lincoln Prep Panthers to 8 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cowboys now have a 16-8 record. They play next when they travel to Loyola College Prep for a 4A District 1 game on Friday, January 24. Southwood will confront a Flyers team coming off a 62-13 non-league loss to West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA). The Flyers record now stands at 1-13.
With the loss, Lincoln Prep falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Arcadia (Arcadia, LA) to confront the Hornets in a 1A District 1 game on Wednesday, January 22. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 15-3. Arcadia won 39-23 in their recent non-league game against Summerfield (Summerfield, LA)
