South Dakota High School Basketball - Wakpala nudges McIntosh
January 21, 2025: Wakpala, SD 57658 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD) and the visiting McIntosh Tigers (McIntosh, SD), observed Wakpala's basketball team edge McIntosh by a score of 47-43.
The Sioux (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD). The Wolverines come into the B Region 6 challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Herreid/Selby was tipped by North Central (Eureka, SD), 51-45, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Takini Skyhawks (Howes, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. McIntosh will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Skyhawks come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 68-14 non-league loss to Tiospaye Topa (Ridgeview, SD).
