Oregon High School Basketball - Sprague triumphant over South Eugene
January 21, 2025: Eugene, OR 97401 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR) and the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), observed Sprague's basketball team overwhelm South Eugene by a score of 43-21.
The Olympians (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against West Salem (Salem, OR). The Titans come into the 6A Central Valley challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, West Salem trounced South Salem (Salem, OR), 55-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Axe encounter the South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Friday, January 24. South Eugene will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 62-39 league win over North Medford (Medford, OR).
